Text: Carl Norac
Actress: Marina Hands

Music: William Christie - Les Arts Florissants, Xavier de Maistre (harp)
The young Queen Marie-Antoinette confides in her instrument as if she were a diary. It is an opportunity for her to explore her life: her childhood in Schönbrunn, her arrival in France and her marriage to the Dauphin, the future Louis XVI, life at court and the weight of etiquette, the Palace of Versailles and Trianon. Her favorite instrument, the harp, which she plays every day and which inspired many compositions at the time, also plays the role of confidant. Marina Hands plays this whimsical and misunderstood queen prey to her hopes, dreams and doubts.
The story is accompanied by the harp of Xavier de Maistre and the ensemble of Les Arts Florissants of William Christie for a dive into the musical life of Versailles at the time of the last queen of France.
